Kilchrenan is a picturesque small village on the north side of Loch Awe which is reached by a minor public road (B845) through Glen Nant. The village has popular Inn (pub and restaurant), a primary school and a church. There are also two excellent lochside hotels in the vicinity which are noted for the quality of their cuisine. Loch Awe is Scotland’s longest fresh water loch and one of its most scenic with wooded shores and numerous small islands which can be explored by boat. It also provides excellent trout fishing.
